A 3 y.o. that left my 2s class a few months ago came over for the afternoon.
"I was in your class. This used to be my room."
Yes, I know you were in my room, but now you're in Mrs. V's room.
"I'm a big boy. I don't know why I was in here 'cause I not little. I was in my mommy's tummy when I a baby. -giggle- But I wasn't in my mommy's peepee!"

Oh, man!
One of my 2 y.o. had a bathroom accident. We're in the bathroom taking off his wet clothes, as I pull of his shorts I notice his wet sock.
Me: L, did you pee on your shoes?
"Noooo."
Why is your sock all wet?
"Oh, man! Why I do that?"

Maybe I'm Out of My Mind
Helping seven 2 and 3 year olds all at once with diapering, pulling up pants, hand washing, and ushering them out of the cramped bathroom with 3 tiny toilets and a sink.
My only 3 y.o. suddenly turns from the sink and in the deepest voice he can sings: "I know you want it/ I know you want it/ ...Blurred lines."
Stifling my laughter: E, that's not really a good song for school. Let's choose something else.
All afternoon I battle with trying to explain to a 3 y.o. why Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines is not appropriate. All I could say was, 'I know you really like the song, E, but it's not a good song for at school. Please save it for home.'

Mixing Up Sand Dough and Bubble Dough During Nap
2 y.o. scratching at my arm while trying to get him back to sleep at nap: "What's that?"
Me: Oh, play dough.
"Why you say 'no?'"
PLAY - DOUGH
"I can play now?"
No, play DOUGH
"Why you got play dough?"
I played with play dough while you were sleeping.
Shocked and offended: "Why you do that?!"
If you take a good nap, I'll let you have some too.
"Oh, okay!"
